When I was standard 2 (about going to standard 3), my parents transfer me from SRJK (C) Lai Meng to SRJK (C) Chi Man, Sentul because of their conveniences for working. That’s fine; at that time transferring to another school was a fun and exciting things to me because, you know when people are young and they never think about what was going to happen next…j~u~s~t relax and sure there will be a way to overcome the problem so on. The first day I was in SRJK (C) Chi Man, my parents were with me to see around the school’s facilities and so on; it was the first time and also the last time for them to visit me in school (except parent’s day). Well, the first day in the new school, my impression towards it was huge and strange to me in a way where pupils there stare at me like I’m a ‘weirdo’, then I stepped in the headmaster’s office, we done the procedure then they assigned me (classroom) where to - 3H…Last class of the standard 3 (Ha-ha after a year studying there only I knew). That’s fine!
“Boys and girls, here’s your new classmate, *** (name) and she will sit with….” I recall. Erm…I’m not going to tell you what’d happened in standard 3 yet I’m going to tell you how I met this friend, Yy – a boy whom I used to eye on ??? Because of his feature and the way he spoke and so on just look like Japanese (What a surprise he’s a Malaysian – disappointed about that) and that attracted me at first sight, you know, the open school day sure the teacher will ask the pupils to introduce themselves towards the whole classmate, at that time I spotted him. Ha-ha…seems like I’m not going to school for academic yet for eyeing on others, what a joker I used to be!!! Standard 5, I used to teach him on cross-stitch for art class and standard 6 I sat with him for a year; we learn Tae-Kwan-Do together which a compulsory class is for all the pupils. Cut off the crap, and then we move from ordinary friend – good friend – and best friend. This friendship last very long until the day we graduate. After the graduation, we never call and talk to each other. Just once in awhile heard some news from my friend that he’s studying in Independence Chong Hwa high school, he shifted to another place and so on (sort of mystery after few months later, I had never ever heard from him, same things happen towards my friend).
(Counted with fingers) 1, 2, 3….is been 6 years we didn’t meet at all. What a coincident! Today after exam, “the family” suggested to have lunch in 1 Utama, Wong Kok. Okay…I don’t have any idea because I strained out my brain for the exam paper so caused me couldn’t think of any nice place to hang out so…final decision – 1 U! I spotted a guy once I entered the restaurant; he’s a trainee of the restaurant of course he served me. By the feature and the way he spoke, I’m sure I met an old friend here. I told Neik; the big bro of the family also known as JOKER that I’d met my primary schoolmate, the waiter who just served us…then I hurry messaged my friend, Jane (I met her since standard 4 and best friend also) and share the news with her.
“Hey, I think I saw Yy, he look cool and leng cai but I’m not sure whether is him or not?”
“Just ask and see whether who he is? If not then just pretend don’t know la…and continue your meal.”
“O.k.…let you know soon ya!”
I’m not daring to ask so…just leave it yea. I called for bill (he served also). After we paid and settle the payment, he came and asked,
“Are you from Chi Man?”
“You’re Yy right? If I’m not mistaken…”
“Yea…how are you….”
“Fine, what you doing now and where you studying?”….
After a small chit chat I get to know that he’s doing @#%* foundation in Sunway College and having holiday now and doing part time job here. He-he at last I knew that my intuition is very accurate and never miss anything that I used to see (but how come it does never helping me on academic?)
Dedicated to: Yy,
It is kind of surprise seeing you again and never thought that we’ll met at this kind of situation. I know that you’re doing your foundation and waiting for result so …just all the best to you and bless you, always.
Keep in touch ya.
